Starting a new business

Resources
Colorado has established a program to provide industry with tax exempt Private Activity Bonds to encourage private investment in creating and sustaining jobs, housing and higher education.
   - Community Development Block Grant Funds can be used for loans, loan
     guarantees and equity investments. These funds are allocated by the
     Colorado Office of Business Development.
   - Impact Assistance and Economic Development Commission Funds can
     be used for infrastructure improvements and site development costs.
   - The Northeastern Colorado Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) provides
     investment capital to new and expanding businesses to create new
     employment and expand the economic base of the region. Dan Simon,

   - The Colorado Housing & Finance Authority (CHFA) provides a variety of
     business finance programs, primarily for small to medium size firms. For

County and municipal incentives are available. Please contact PCED for more information. PCED facilitates State of Colorado Economic Development Commission funds including:

Enhanced Rural Enterprise Zone

3% investment tax credit on equipment

$500 job tax credit / refund for new employees

Double job tax credit / refund for ag. processing

$200 job tax credit for employer health insurance

Exemption from state sales and use tax for manufacturing equipment

 

Local government tax incentives

Job Tax Credits

R&D Tax Credits
